24 October 2024
Regions Development’s Commercial Director shared the developer’s experience of working with public authorities, taking an integrated approach to placemaking and creating well-served residential neighbourhoods.

Balancing the interests of the city, homebuyers and the developer is essential to creating a successful living environment. This balance is achieved through an integrated approach to urban development designed to generate long-term value for every stakeholder.

The city seeks to improve the urban environment and establish new destinations through public amenities and socially important infrastructure. Homebuyers increasingly value everyday comfort and convenient places to live, work and spend their leisure time, raising expectations for the quality of residential developments and their public realm. The developer responds to changing lifestyles and market demand by creating desirable, investment-grade products that support successful delivery and sustainable commercial returns.

On the Nagatinsky Peninsula, Regions Development created Dream Island, an urban resort offering a wide range of leisure experiences. Families can visit the theme park and the Moskva concert hall, friends can relax at Dream Beach Club, while the landscaped park provides space for walking or reading. Working in partnership with the city, Regions Development has transformed this part of southern Moscow, restored the Southern River Terminal and upgraded the Moskva River embankment. Bringing together the priorities of the developer, the authorities and local residents has created a major new destination for the capital.

In the established Preobrazhenskoye district of eastern Moscow, Regions Development is responding to the needs of both the city and local residents by introducing the high-quality infrastructure the area previously lacked. Preobrazhenskaya Ploshchad will feature a landscaped boulevard with cafés and restaurants, public gardens and a private courtyard designed for year-round activities for residents of all ages. The development enhances the character of the historic neighbourhood while adding the amenities expected by discerning buyers of premium homes and improving the wider quality of life. In response to demand for high-quality education, Regions Development has also agreed with the city to deliver a municipal school with a focus on IT as part of Moscow’s highly regarded School No. 1502 educational cluster.
